2022 Yarden Chardonnay

- Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay

- Fermentation: Fermented in new oak barrels and 2-year-old French oak barrels, then aged sur lie for about 7 months. Some malolactic fermentation is carried out.
- Drinking time: This is a white wine with high aging potential that benefits from 5 to 7 years of aging after harvest.
- Serving temperature: 10-13℃
Tasting notes: The wine has a seductive aroma of pear, lemon and apricot, with mineral and floral nuances, and a background aroma of French oak. It has a full-bodied flavor that is both rich and pleasant. The long, satisfying finish of the wine spreads out endlessly. 2021 Chateau Pegau Cotes du Rhone Villages Rouge Cuvee Setier (750ml)
The word “Stie” refers to a stone pot with a capacity of 66 liters that was used in the past to measure grain and wine, and it symbolizes the image of “Côtes du Rhône Villages,” which is recognized as producing particularly high-quality wines within the Côtes du Rhône region.
Product Specifics
- Grape Varieties: 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 20% Mourvedre
- Soil: Loamy soil with a surface layer of pebbles
- Alc.: Around 14%
- Fermentation: Whole bunches pressed without de-stemming, 10-day maceration. Fermentation occurs naturally without temperature control using natural yeast in enamel tanks. After that, the wine is aged for one year in enamel tanks.
- Serving temperature: 17℃.
Comment: A beautiful deep garnet color. The aromas of licorice, tar and cherries are evident throughout. A powerful, well-balanced flavor and a broad finish. It is best to age this wine for 5 to 10 years. It goes well with stewed dishes using red meat, stewed lamb seasoned with thyme, and stewed dishes such as couscous seasoned with spices.
